Ring Size Diameter vs. Circumference: What is the Difference?

When measuring your finger, you will encounter two primary measurements: diameter and circumference. Both refer to the interior dimensions of the ring band, but they represent different geometric properties of a circle.

The circumference is the total distance around the inner circle of the ring, matching the outer boundary of your finger. The inside diameter is the straight-line distance across the center of the ring's interior. These dimensions are mathematically related by the constant pi ((pi approx 3.14159)).

To calculate diameter from circumference, divide the circumference by pi (( ext{diameter} = ext{circumference} div 3.14159)). To calculate circumference from diameter, multiply the diameter by pi (( ext{circumference} = ext{diameter} imes 3.14159)).

Which Measurement Should You Use?
